FAQ & How We Work With You

A quick look at how Alturascope UK fits into your process, what we deliver, and the edges of our service. If you don’t see your question here, just reach out—we’re happy to talk through your specific sites.

Booking & timing

How far ahead do we need to book?

For standard visits, we ask for 7–10 business days from confirmed access to site. That gives us time to lock in travel, coordinate with building management, and align on your brief.

We can often accommodate tighter timelines on a rush basis (+25%). Very last-minute, night (6pm–6am), or weekend work carries a +50% uplift and is subject to availability and site rules.

Site size & complexity

What if the space is bigger than 10,000 sq ft?

Our published pricing is based on spaces up to 10,000 sq ft with typical commercial complexity. Larger sites, multi-floor portfolios, or heavy plant / industrial areas are absolutely doable—they just need a bit more planning.

In those cases we’ll usually:

  • Break the work into sensible zones or floors.
  • Adjust pricing based on total area and complexity.
  • Confirm any additional time needed for capture and reporting.

You’ll always see the adjusted scope and fee before we mobilise.

Deliverables

What exactly do you deliver after each visit?

Every standard visit includes a consistent bundle of visuals and documentation so your team can make decisions quickly:

  • Digital twin or 360° walkthrough of the space.
  • Labeled photo storyboard covering shell, core, MEP, ceilings, floors, and issues.
  • Fixture and services counts (lights, diffusers, sprinklers, washrooms, doors, key equipment, etc.).
  • A detailed written conditions report with a high-level mechanical / services overview, upsides & concerns clearly highlighted, and recommendations prioritised into P1 / P2 / P3.

For progress visits you also receive a focused exceptions & issues log and a reality-check against the programme and/or pay application.

Collaboration

Can you join calls with our GC, landlord, lender, or design team?

Yes. In fact, it often makes the deliverables more valuable.

We can join review calls to walk stakeholders through the digital twin, highlight key risks and opportunities, and answer detailed questions about what was seen on site.

For clients on monthly bundles, a reasonable amount of review time is typically included. For ad-hoc work, we can add a small amount of remote review time to your quote or support ongoing calls on an hourly basis.

Geography

Do you work outside the United Kingdom?

Our primary focus—and where our approach works best—is across the United Kingdom.

We can sometimes support work in other regions on a case-by-case basis. In those cases, travel is quoted separately.

Branding & neutrality

Can you white-label under our brand?

Yes, for many clients we act as a quiet, behind-the-scenes partner.

We can:

  • Use your logo and colour palette on reports.
  • Present as part of your team in meetings and walkthroughs.
  • Align deliverables to your internal templates and folder structure.

Regardless of branding, we remain independent and vendor-neutral: we don’t sell construction services and we don’t take fees from GCs or trades.

Travel & costs

Is travel really included in your pricing?

For typical U.K. sites, travel and lodging are built into our published fees. You see one number and don’t need to manage receipts or per diems.

Very remote locations or unusual routing may require separate travel quotation, which we’ll flag during quoting.

On-site representation

How does the Stakeholder Walkthrough & Trade Day work in practice?

Think of it as having a calm, technically literate representative on site to host your brokers, clients, landlords, and trades.

We run a structured walkthrough, help trades and stakeholders see the same scope, surface hidden risks, and sanity-check early budgets. Afterwards, you receive a concise note summarising attendees, key agreements, open questions, and major cost risks or opportunities.

This can be added to a standard visit or quoted as a standalone half- or full-day engagement.

Practicalities

What do you need from us before a visit?

Ahead of each visit we’ll confirm:

  • Site address, approximate size, and basic building type.
  • Primary decision you’re trying to make (renew, relocate, fund, phase, etc.).
  • Any existing floor plans, test-fits, or landlord packs (if available).
  • Access details, security requirements, and any site-specific PPE.
  • Whether you’d like us to meet specific stakeholders or trades on site.

The clearer the brief, the more we can tailor the report and visuals to your team’s actual decision.

Changes & cancellations

What happens if access changes or we need to reschedule?

We understand that access windows, approvals, and tenant dates can move.

If you need to reschedule, we’ll always try to roll any pre-booked travel forward. If changes are made very late and incur non-refundable costs, we may need to pass those through at face value.

We’ll be upfront about any potential charges and work with you to minimise them wherever possible.
